Communications Agent, Permanent Position
Les Impatients is currently seeking a Communications Agent. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for raising awareness of the organization and promoting its mission within the community. The Communications Officer is in charge of planning, writing, and distributing information about the organization (newsletters, website, social media, press releases, brochures, etc.) and ensuring the quality of communications. They also contribute to the development of the strategic communications plan and brand image. The officer collaborates with the board’s fundraising tactical committee and maintains communication with workshop partners.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Plan and execute the communications calendar;
- Collaborate with the board’s fundraising tactical committee;
- Participate in the planning, writing, and distribution of communications for fundraising campaigns;
- Coordinate communications for special projects, events, the collection, workshops, the boutique, philanthropy, and partnerships;
- Write, coordinate printing, and distribute promotional materials;
- Plan, write, and send newsletters;
- Support the writing and editing of both internal and external communications;
- Update external publications, including:
- Activity reports;
- Brochures, portfolios, and presentation materials;
- Update website content;
- Maintain archives of events;
- Collaborate with Les Impatients’ public relations representative;
- Coordinate media relations (press releases, interviews).
Requirements
- Education in communications or a related field;
- Relevant experience in communications (writing, editing, and project coordination);
- Excellent knowledge of the Internet and social media platforms;
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPress, and MailChimp;
- Excellent spoken and written French;
- Functional English;
- Must attend fundraising events and other organizational activities.

Working conditions
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Permanent position: 28 hours per week, typically over 4 days, hybrid model
- Salary: $26.45/hour
