Created by the nonprofit organization Toi, t\u2019en penses quoi?<\/strong> in collaboration with C\u00e9gep Marie-Victorin<\/strong>, the Personnalit\u00e910<\/strong> project will be on display at Les Impatients from August 31 to October 9, 2026.<\/p>\n

With the support of mental health professionals, fashion design students from C\u00e9gep Marie-Victorin have created thirty-four outfits reflecting various facets of the human personality. Narcissistic, histrionic, borderline, schizoid, and more: each creative garment is the result of an artistic interpretation of one of the ten personality disorders.<\/p>\n

\u201cFashion is a universal language: it expresses both the desire to stand out and the desire to belong. This is a tension that some people with personality disorders may experience.\u201d \u2014 Dr. M\u00e9lanie Truong, family physician, founder and president of Toi, t’en penses quoi ?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Without caricature, romanticization, or diagnostic implications, Personnalit\u00e910 aims to destigmatize these disorders, which are estimated to affect approximately 10% of the population. It is an invitation to move beyond labels and take a nuanced view of human and relational diversity.<\/p>\n

A roundtable discussion<\/strong> bringing together fashion design students who created the outfits, mental health professionals, and people living with a personality disorder will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m<\/strong>., at the Grand Atelier de Montreal. Admission is free, but reservation is required<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Collection Les Impatients<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Alongside Personnalit\u00e910, Les Impatients is showcasing jackets <\/strong>from The Collection Les Impatients<\/strong>. Designed under the supervision of artist Pierre Bellemare by participants in the Les Impatients workshop in Pointe-aux-Trembles, these creations\u2014which use secondhand jackets as their base\u2014were the focus of a theatrical production at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Nouveau Monde and several exhibitions before becoming part of the Les Impatients Collection.<\/p>\n
